Principal

Michael Evans founded Evans & Evans, Inc. in 1989. As a Principal of Evans & Evans, he oversees the expansion and development of its business outside of British Columbia, as well as serving as the Managing Partner of the firm.

Throughout his career Michael has been responsible for raising funds for numerous clients through private placements, public offerings, and debt issuances. In addition, he has advised on many merger and acquisition transactions and has originated transactions for both purchasers and sellers.

Michael has particular expertise in the public marketing sector as a Director and Advisor with many public companies internationally and throughout North America. He has also guided many companies through IPOs and RTOs both domestically and internationally.

Michael spends much of his time advising private companies through initial public offerings and merger transactions. Many of these companies are internationally based with a particular emphasis on the Asian markets. Prior to founding Evans & Evans, Inc. Michael worked in the venture capital industry in Western Canada for several years. He began his career in marketing and sales with Wang Canada Ltd. in 1983.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Simon Fraser University, a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Portland, where he graduated with honors, and the professional designations of Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Business Valuator and Accredited Senior Appraiser. He is a member of the Association of Investment Management and Research, the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators and the American Society of Appraisers.
